The Power of Spoken Words.
86The mouth is a dangerous weapon, which can work for or against you, depending on how it is used. Your mouth is not meant for eating alone it is also an instrument for charting the course of your life. The Bible says in Proverbs 18:20-21, “A man is filled with what comes from his mouth and is nourished by what his lips provide. The tongue has power over life and death, those who like speaking will eat its fruit” But how many people understand this principle? How true are the words? The whole world was created by the spoken words of God and not his thoughts or quietness. That should give us Christians an insight into how things work here on earth from the spiritual realm. We should understand that we live first in the spiritual before we transmit to the physical. Therefore, if you have not won in the spiritual, you can’t win in the physical realm of life.
Declaring the Right Words
Do you know that some situations in your life and in the lives of others around you are waiting a word from you before they will change? Until that word comes, things will remain the same. But as soon as you release the word, heaven’s power will be released and the desired changes will be obtained. Unfortunately, many are still withholding the words that could bring about their desired changes. God gave you a mouth to deliver your self. Are you using your tongue to your maximum benefit? If you are facing an unfavourable situation, you have to respond to that situation with the right words. When Jesus awoke on a boat in a stormy sea, He spoke to the wind and waves Mark 4:39 and they heard Him. When He was confronted with deaf ears, He spoke to the deaf ears Mark 7:34 and the ears weren’t deaf to the word of God----.The Bible says we are made in the image and likeness of God. If Jesus could do all those things, it means we can also do them because he has given us authority over every thing on earth.

Learn to talk right always, for the right words produce tremendous results.Romans10:10 says “By believing from the heart, you obtain true righteousness; by confessing the faith with your lips you are saved”. After you have believed in your heart, it is necessary to engage your mouth to confess your salvation or else you will forfeit it. The leper in mark 1:40-45 only needed the lord to make one pronunciation .All Jesus needed to say was “I will, be clean” if he had refrained from saying it, the man would have died a leper. In Mathew 8:5-13 the centurion wanted Jesus to say just a word for his servant to receive his healing.
The question now is which words are you suppose to release? You cannot release words of power if you don’t have them in you. Colossians 3:16 says” Let the word of God dwell in you in all its richness.” Study Gods word and commit it to your heart. Man alone cannot tame the tongue.Through Gods word and the Holy Spirit,we can put pressure on our tongue to tame it.Do not use your mouth to say unauthorised, unholy or negative things about your self or others .confess daily, obey Gods word, preach it and when you speak afterward, your words would be empowered by the spirit to produce changes wherever they are sent. Address situations that need a change by your words. Use your tongue to confess your way into your desired breakthrough. Talk to your body, your home, business, health etc; declare that you are what God says you are. Practice talking sessions everyday and watch your life go forward and upward. At times, the situation may pretend as if it’s not changing but it has heard you and it will conform to the word of God.
PRAYER
Dear Father in Heaven, I thank you for putting the power to change things in my mouth. I declare that iam making progress and moving forward in the Name of Jesus. Am full of divine health, prosperity and joy. Thank you Lord Jesus. Amen

Very interesting. "Death and Life are in the Power of the Tongue". Our words are very powerful. We will get whatever we continue to confess, that's why we need to be careful what we say to our kids when we are angry. Lovely Hub.

hi Hayemba,thanks for the comment.it is true that many people have confessed riches and died poor or health and are sick or life and have died.if you do more research,you will discover that those people had lots of doubts in their minds.the truth is that faith without action is death.if you are poor and you just sit in your home and be confessing riches,you are just wasting your time.you need to go out search for a job and work with faith that you are rich and you will discover Gods blessings in your life.if you are sick and you confess health,start doing those things which you never used to do because of your health.there was a lady who had been barren for long but when she discovered the truth in Gods words,she changed the way she was speaking about her self ,she kept on saying she was pregnant,bought babies dresses,shoes,etc started behaving like a pregnant woman .that is faith and do you know the end result?she became pregnant.glory to God.that is the power of words combined with faith and action.
Truer words were never spoken. We possess such power, but for most of us it remains dormant and never used. So many people leave this earth without ever tapping into their full potential. Continued blessings as you allow God to speak through you.

Words and actions also displays to the spirit world what your level of spiritual knowledge are.
If you are not in control of your life, chances are that other forces are. Your words and actions are duly noted in the spiritual realm as it identifies your position and authority in the spiritual realm. You are being tested all the time!
1 Peter 5:8
Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.
You have an enemy, the Devil (a spirit) who roams around. The spiritual dimension consists of good and bad spirits.
The bad ones are looking around to find a prey to devour.
He is seeking (testing you) to see IF he CAN devour you.
This means he cannot devour anyone, he has to SEEK for those who he can overcome (by fear).
He is walking around like a lion, roaring (to scare you). Fear is the method used to test you by means of negative conversations, threats, calamities and other negative situations. He is watching your reaction and words (your spiritual knowledge).
He isn’t a lion, but rather a mouse with a loudspeaker. If you get scared and don’t talk authority and faith, he will become your lion.
You allow him to become a devouring lion, or you can make him run away like a scared mouse.

Words are seeds, when spoken can produce good or bad resuct deponding on the useage. The greatest miracle was when God say, let there be light...GEN 1:3. He gave us what it takes 2 do the same.

Sera - I am inspired. This is a life changing hub. There is indeed power in the spoken word. No wonder the woman of Sunamine in the bible, even when her only son was dead refused to accept his death. Whenshe was approached by the Prophet, she said it is well. Yes, it is well even in the midst of obstacles. There is power in positive talks. Speak positively and see positive things looking for you.
